Comment by Olle Mattsson on September 15, 2009 at 11:07am - I was on Islay about half a year ago - beautiful place. Not a huge fan of Kilchoman myself, but I'm still going to get a bottle. I think the 3 yo hit the market just a few days ago.

Has anyone been to Islay? i went a couple summers ago. Spent a week visiting as many distilleries as I could, crawling my way from one to the next!
While I was there, i found a new, yes New distillery: Kilchomen. The owner showed us around and let us taste some of their new spirit. they have only been in existence for a couple years, so they cannot call their drink Scotch yet... but let me tell you, it's going to be an amazing dram. The new spirit tasted wonderful. If you go, you can buy a 1 oz miniature. I cannot wait for them to hit the market.
